A work in progress

I always think it’s interesting to see how artwork develops over time and to see the process that the artist goes through. Some start with pretty wacky colours and bold strokes and work in detail in layers; others begin in one corner and work their way across the canvas. I find I’m always drawn to the face, and I have to try to resist finishing that before blocking in the background… (if you’re prone to doing it that way round, you’ll know how annoying it is- and how unlikely you are to actually ever finish it given that your favourite bit is done and dusted). But here is my process for you (in case you wondered)…
